All American Assisted Living Facility

All American Assisted Living is a 112-bed facility located on NYS Route 25 Middle Country Road in Coram, NY. The client, Kaplan Development Group, is a Massachusetts based developer that specializes in the development and operation of high quality assisted living facilities throughout the northeastern United States. This assisted living facility site features a 2 story 56,078 SF GFA building on a 3.65 acre lot.

Hayduk Engineering was responsible for civil/site plan engineering and wastewater engineering on the project. Our civil/site plan engineering services included site alignment, grading and drainage system design, site lighting, road and parking lot design (utilizing AutoTURN simulation software to ensure proper access for trucks), erosion and sediment control design, water service and RPZ design, NOI and SWPPP preparation, Highway Work Permit, and coordination with a traffic engineer subconsultant for the installation of a new traffic signal on NY 25 Middle County Road. Our wastewater engineering services included the engineering design of new gravity sewers, grease trap, pumping station, and force main connection to an existing “dry” force main that was installed under a previous project in anticipation of future development of this property.

Hayduk Engineering received an award for our involvement on this project from Long Island Business News in 2021 under the category of Best Assisted Living Project as part of the annual Real Estate, Architecture, and Engineering awards program for LIBN.

Eric C. Jeter, P.E. LEED AP

Director of Civil Engineering

Eric C. Jeter, P.E. LEED AP BD+C is a graduate of Portland State University, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of New York, Connecticut, Florida, Washington, and Oregon, and is LEED Certified in Building Design and Construction. Mr. Jeter has over 14 years of experience providing consulting services in the commercial development and public works sectors. He is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project schedule from proposal development to construction closeout. Mr. Jeter has developed site plans and construction documents to optimize client objectives relative to site and regulatory constraints and permitting; provided engineering services for site, utility and roadway design, as well as stormwater conveyance, detention/infiltration and water quality systems in numerous jurisdictions. He regularly prepares development budgets and schedules for clients, cost estimates for agencies and clients, and coordinates jurisdictional approvals and permits. Mr. Jeter has engineered private and public development sites for shopping centers, data centers, industrial developments, wastewater treatment facilities, roadways, stormwater systems, and public works facilities.

Bridge and Tunnel Engineering Inspectors

Description: Hayduk Engineering, LLC is expanding its Transportation Division. We are seeking several engineers to perform engineering inspections as part of the Biennial Inspection programs at Bronx-Whitestone Bridge, Marine Parkway, Henry Hudson Bridge, Hugh Carey Tunnel, and Queens-Midtown Tunnels, as well as several Metro-North Railroad bridge and tunnel facilities.

We are seeking self-starting team players with excellent written and verbal communications skills. A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or related programs) is required. Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is preferred. Individuals must have experience using AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite. Completion of the National Highway Institute (NHI) certification courses for bridge and tunnel inspections will be required for these positions and Hayduk Engineering will provide access to same if candidates have not previously obtained these certifications.

Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent

Required Experience: 0-10 years

Required Licenses or Certifications: FE exam completion and NHI courses preferred.
